Man United and Liverpool resume their bitter rivalry today as a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup is at stake.

Last weekend saw a goalless draw at Anfield in the Premier League, but this time there must be a winner at Old Trafford as there are no replays in the cup, meaning extra time and possibly a penalty shootout if there is another stalemate after 90 minutes.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United are in good form at the top of the table after an excellent run of results over the festive period, but the Norwegian has yet to prove he can lead the Red Devils through tough cup tests as a coach.

The Liverpool champions are stuck six points behind United in the table after a surprise home defeat to Burnley on Thursday night.

Solskjaer surprised by fielding Donny van de Beek in place of Bruno Fernandes, while Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino returned to the Liverpool attack.
