Socio-political activist Aisha Yesufu on Tuesday joked that Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore is mad after the latter’s court appearance on Tuesday.

Sowore stormed into the premises of a magistrate court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, with a supporter dressed as a local doctor.

The #RevolutionNow organizer shared pictures of his arrival at the court on Twitter with the title of Ola Rotimi’s book The Gods are Not to Blame as the caption.

In a Twitter post of his own, Yesufu responded, saying Sowore was a crazy man and asking him what he was doing.

Court staff, journalists, police officers and other visitors were stunned by the presence of Sowore’s “home doctor” and many burst out laughing.

Sowore is on trial along with others on charges of unlawful assembly and incitement following a demonstration in Abuja.

He was arrested along with four others on New Year’s Eve for organizing a candlelight procession in Abuja.

The prosecution alleges the defendants called for a violent revolution against President Muhammadu Buhari.
