The 50-year-old widow also revealed that the death of her grandson, who had dreamed of becoming a Catholic priest, had affected her health.

Read her statement below: “I took Osinachi to live with me when he was one year old. He was brought to me from Borno State in the heat of the Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast. His father, my first son, is a military officer serving in the northeast.

“Since then, I stayed with him and he said he wanted to become a Catholic priest,” he said.

“The people who live on the property where he was found dead have a case to answer. Those who killed my grandson should not go scot-free.”
