Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey admitted his performance was not good enough in the goalless draw against Manchester United.

Partey played from start to finish as both teams tried to seal the deal in the Premier League on Saturday.

In November, the Black Stars midfielder put in a solid performance in midfield as Arsenal claimed a 1-0 win over United at Old Trafford through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal from the penalty spot.

It was a contrasting performance for the 27-year-old on Saturday after he had just one dribble, one key pass, one tackle and one interception to his name in 90 minutes.

Despite his unimpressive contribution at Emirates Stadium, Partey was pleased to help the Gunners extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to seven games.

“Not my best game but I’m glad I played 90 minutes and was able to continue our unbeaten streak in the Premier League,” he wrote on Instagram.

Partey will aim to get back to his best game and help Arsenal continue their impressive run in the league when they visit Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.

They are ninth in the Premier League table with 31 points from 21 games.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes the Ghana international can establish himself as a star at the Emirates Stadium.

“He came on transfer deadline day, so never really had a chance to settle in, so it was no surprise he got injured,” Keane is quoted as saying by the Sunday Mirror.

“He will be a big player for Arsenal in the years to come.

“His track record… he’s used to playing in the biggest games, we know the important role in the middle of the park for Arsenal, they’ve lacked the physical presence.

“I have no doubt that if he stays fit – which we will probably see more of next season – he will be a great player for Arsenal.”
