Finally, the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines has arrived in Nigeria.

These Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines were approved by NAFDAC and arrived today on an Emirates airline at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The delegation that received the vaccines was led by PTF Chairman Boss Mustapha and included Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Information Lai Mohammed and Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency said Monday that Nigerians can now register for the COVID-19 vaccination through its website.

In a tweet, the agency said;

“To register for #COVID19 Vaccination, visit our website and click on ‘COVID-19 Vaccination e-registration.”
