South Africans are still reeling in shock following the tragic loss of rapper AKA’s fiancée Anele “Nelli” Tembe, who apparently fell from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town on Sunday.

Details surrounding the death of the 22-year-old are still sketchy, but the police have confirmed investigations are still ongoing.

According to local publications, AKA and Nelli went on a shopping spree at Laduma Ngxokolo’s store in the V&A Waterfront, had lunch with friends, and partied it up at the rapper’s performance just hours before her death.

The lovebirds stayed on the 10th floor of the hotel overlooking Cape Town City. A local publication has learnt AKA and Nelli were frequent visitors to the five-star establishment.

According to reliable sources, the floor the couples were occupying housed two studio rooms, deluxe and superior deluxe studio rooms.

The rooms are alike and contain a lounge area, en-suite bathroom, and balcony overlooking the city, Table Mountain, and a table bay.

The road outside the hotel was blocked off on Sunday following Nelli’s death, with police on the scene looking for clues.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said paramedics arrived on the scene and found a 22-year-old female who had allegedly jumped from the 10th floor, landing on the road below.

He confirmed that the woman was found n***d by the first responders and was in a critical condition.

Nelli didn’t survive the fall and was later confirmed dead in a statement released by both families.
