Kamogelo Molatlhoe is a South African actress best known for her portrayal of Kea in the popular e.tv drama series Rhythm City.
After a whopping 14 years of gripping drama and an exciting finale in 2021, e.tv has officially announced the end of Rhythm City.
The actress is also a writer and editor and has a large following on social media. She studied at the University of Witwatersrand (Wits). Kamogelo obtained a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from a university in 2017. As an actress, she has appeared in several theater productions, including “Poetry Overload vs Sketching”, which was performed at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg. In 2015, she made her first television appearance in a “Living Positive” segment of the SABC1 youth program Bona Retsang.
Kamogelo later landed an acting role in The Stick Up, a Mzansi Magic movie. The movie first aired on Mzansi Magic on June 18, 2016 and starred Andile Mbatha. She later played the role of Tshepang, an energetic girl who has the will to achieve anything in life, in the first season of the SABC1 drama series Ingozi.
She played the role of Keamogetswe in Rhythm City; on February 27, 2019, she made her first appearance as Reneilwe’s younger sister in the e.tv soap opera. In the same year, she was cast as Cebile in Lithapo, a telenovela on SABC2. This is her first starring role on television, and the show premiered on January 13, 2020. In addition to her acting, she has knowledge of sound engineering, which she acquired at university.
Kamo works as a sound engineer at the Grahamstown Arts Festival. She would also like to set up a production company, as she is enterprising and has expertise in her field. “I always prefer to play roles that are different from myself. I made my acting debut with the role of Gugu in “Bona Retsang”. I also played Tshepang in season 1 of “Ingozi”. These roles have challenged me as a new actress,” she told IOL.
