Lesego Tlhabi has shared her thoughts on why men commit r**e although there are several laws forbidden them.

In South Africa, one of the major vices that the country is having a hard time to deal with r**e and it has been on the rise such that many people have called for stringent punishment for perpetrators.

According to the actress, men commit r**e not because they are ignorant stating that they commit r**e because they don’t care.

She also added that men find it prudent to commit r**e because they know the system is broken and they’ll get away with it.

The post she made on Twitter reads;

“So what I learned today is that men aren’t ignorant. It’s not because they don’t know or aren’t sure what constitutes r**e or not… it’s because they genuinely don’t care. They know the system is broken and they’ll get away with it. And they’ll all come together in defence.”
