Popular and often controversial street-hop artist, Badmus Okikiola — widely recognized as Portable — emerged victorious against fellow entertainer Darlington Okoye, better known as Speed Darlington, in an eagerly anticipated celebrity boxing match.
The clash, aptly titled “Chaos In The Ring”, was hosted by Game Rush in collaboration with Balmoral Promotions. The high-energy bout took place on Saturday, following the smashing success of their previous December 2024 event and the First Friday Fight Night held in February 2025.
Tension between the two artists reportedly began when Speed Darlington allegedly offered Portable a sum of N500,000 to perform at one of his shows — an offer Portable perceived as a slight to his reputation and status.
Interestingly, Portable had only just been released from police custody prior to the fight. He was arrested on April 12 in Ilorin, Kwara State, facing accusations of criminal defamation, issuing life threats, sedition, and character defamation against Fuji legend Saheed Osupa. The case was dropped after Osupa retracted his petition, paving the way for Portable’s return to the spotlight.
