The mother and child were buried on Friday, January 15, 2021, in their hometown of Ainu Ugboba Ete in Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State.
On Facebook today after the burial, the distraught widower, also known as Splash, wrote a tribute to his wife and daughter, describing them as the light of his life.
“My dear wife and dear daughter, you both were the light of my life and I cannot express the sadness I feel at your sudden departure,” he wrote below:
“May God bless your souls. My dear, it is hard to believe that you have left this beautiful world behind, but I am sure that you and my dear daughter are in a better place now. A thousand words will not bring you back, I know that because I have tried; neither will a thousand tears, I know that because I have cried. But 1 strong belief I have is that our shared memories will keep me going. I feel your presence even though you are gone. I leave you both in God’s hands.”
