Award-winning author Wole Soyinka has reacted to the abduction of students of a Government Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

He reacted in a statement titled “INFRADIG-A presidential comeuppance” which reads;

“This, to come to the present, was Buhari’s response to the invitation from the National Assembly to come over for a chat. He did not consider it infradig at first. He responded to the polite invitation to talk forcefully about the people’s security concerns as one still struggling to preserve the tattered remnants of his “born-again” democratic cloak.

His reversal of approval, however, has once again raised the frightening situational report that I fervently posed: Buhari is not in charge.

Whoever it is, this segment of cabalist control has obviously cornered and pushed him on his way to the legislators’ chambers: Don’t! Your invitation is infradig-a He bowed.

Beneath the dignity of a commander-in-chief! Well. The opportunistic killers – bandits/Boko Haram or whoever – then took up the gauntlet and delivered a response in their own language: once again, kidnapping the nation’s children.

They slapped him in the face, on his home turf, mockingly: “See if this is in keeping with your dignity.”
